Information We Collect

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

DrinkWater App stores the following information locally on your device only:

• Water consumption logs — Daily records of water intake amounts
• Goal settings — Your daily water consumption goal and tap amount preferences
• Schedule preferences — Wake and sleep times for notification scheduling
• Streak data — Consecutive days of meeting your hydration goal
• Apple Health data — When you enable Apple Health integration, your water intake entries are written to Apple Health (HealthKit) on your device. This data is managed by iOS and subject to Apple's privacy controls.

This data never leaves your device. We do not have access to it, and it is not transmitted to any servers.

Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Health data beyond what you manually log in the app
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Device identifiers
• Any data to third-party services

How We Use Information

The locally stored data is used solely to:

• Display your water consumption progress
• Track your hydration streaks
• Send local notifications based on your schedule preferences
• Sync data between the app and home screen widget (on your device only)

Data Storage and Security

All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Data is shared between the main app and widget using Apple's App Groups feature, which keeps data sandboxed on your device.

We do not use cloud storage, external databases, or any form of data backup to remote servers.

Notifications

DrinkWater App may send local push notifications to remind you to stay hydrated. These notifications are:

• Generated entirely on your device
• Based on your configured wake/sleep schedule
• Controllable through iOS Settings

No notification data is sent to external servers.

Children's Privacy

DrinkWater App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The app stores all data locally and does not require account creation or personal information input.

Third-Party Services

Apple Health (HealthKit)

DrinkWater App offers optional integration with Apple Health. When enabled:

• Water intake entries are saved to Apple Health on your device
• We request write-only access — the app does not read any data from Apple Health
• No HealthKit data is transferred to us or any external server
• You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices
• You can disable the integration at any time in the app's settings

We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, data mining, or any purpose other than recording your water intake. This is in compliance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines.

DrinkWater App does not integrate with any other third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.

Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Deleting the app will remove all associated data
• You can reset your progress at any time using the reset button in the app
• No data persists on external servers after app deletion
• Apple Health data can be managed independently through the iOS Health app. Deleting DrinkWater does not automatically remove data previously written to Apple Health.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there is no personal information for us to provide, modify, or delete. All your data remains under your control on your device.
