Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using DrinkWater App ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the app.

Description of Service

DrinkWater App is a personal hydration tracking application that helps you monitor your daily water intake. The app provides:

• Water consumption tracking
• Customizable daily hydration goals
• Visual progress indicators
• Reminder notifications
• Home screen widget functionality
• Streak tracking for consecutive goal completion
• Optional Apple Health (HealthKit) integration for recording water intake

Use of the App

Permitted Use

You may use DrinkWater App for personal, non-commercial purposes to track your water consumption and hydration habits.

Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the app
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the app
• Remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices

Health Disclaimer

DrinkWater App is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.

• The app is designed as a general wellness tool to help track water intake
• The suggested water goals are general guidelines and may not be appropriate for everyone
• Individual hydration needs vary based on factors including age, weight, activity level, climate, and health conditions
• Always consult a healthcare professional for personalized hydration advice
• Do not rely solely on this app for health-related decisions
• Data written to Apple Health is provided for personal tracking purposes only and should not be used as a medical record

We are not responsible for any health outcomes resulting from use of this app.

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of DrinkWater App, including but not limited to design, graphics, text, and code, are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

User Data

As described in our Privacy Policy:

• All data is stored locally on your device
• We do not collect, transmit, or have access to your data
• You are responsible for any data backup if desired
• Deleting the app will permanently remove all associated data

Notifications

The app may send local push notifications based on your preferences. You can disable notifications at any time through your device's Settings.

Widget Functionality

The home screen widget requires iOS 17.0 or later and proper App Groups configuration. Widget functionality may vary based on your device and iOS version.

Apple Health Integration

DrinkWater App offers optional integration with Apple HealthKit. By enabling this feature:

• You grant the app permission to write water intake data to Apple Health
• The app requests write-only access and does not read data from Apple Health
• Data written to Apple Health is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policies
• You may revoke access at any time through iOS Settings
• We are not responsible for how Apple Health stores, displays, or shares your data with other apps you have authorized
• Apple Health data is not deleted when you delete DrinkWater — manage it through the Health app

Updates and Modifications

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue the app at any time
• Update these Terms at any time
• Release updates that may change app functionality

Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Accuracy or reliability of content

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the app is free of viruses or harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of data, profits, or goodwill
• Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the app
• Damages resulting from any health decisions made based on app data

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DrinkWater App regarding your use of the app.
